Oh no! I didn’t plan well again! No taco seasoning in the house and I am making enchiladas. What do I do?!?!
These were my thoughts about 5 minutes into browning my ground beef. I had already shredded my cheese, heated my beans. Too far into this to turn back. Thank goodness for the foodies that abound on the internet. One quick google search lead me to this recipe, which I threw together in 2 minutes flat.
One recipe = one seasoning packet.
Taco Seasoning
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/4 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
Combine and enjoy!
What would we do without the internet. Everything already in your pantry and you saved running to the store.
I know this is not the most chic recipe but sometimes the best recipe is a quick fix/traditional recipe. Thanks Karen for the comment!

Sounds like a very tasty home brew!

Thanks! I hope it comes in handy for you…
